21 Savage has surprised fans at a recent Toronto concert by bringing out Drake despite the rapper’s feud with his friend, Metro Boomin.

The London-born rapper is currently on his ‘American Dream’ tour, which supports his latest album of the same name. Earlier this week, he performed at the Budweiser Stage in Drake’s hometown, where he invited the 6God to join him on stage. They played some of their popular collaborations, including the Number One song ‘Her Loss’ – the titular track from their 2022 debut collaborative album.

As Savage began to perform his verse on ‘Knife Talk’ from Drake’s 2022 album ‘Certified Lover Boy’, the Canadian stepped out on stage to rap along with his frequent collaborator. Afterwards, they embraced in a hug before Savage told the Toronto crowd to “make some motherfucking noise for the one and only, Drake.”

“One last time, please. Everybody in the city that we love so much, please make some noise for my motherfucking brother 21 coming out and killing this shit,” Drake replied. “You home, like, this yo’ city.”

Drake has recently been engaged in a rap battle with Kendrick Lamar. It started when the latter featured on Metro Boomin’s ‘Like That’ from the producer’s debut joint album with Future. Amidst his feud with Lamar, the Canadian rapper also went after Boomin by poking fun at him online.

On ‘Push Ups’ – his first diss track aimed at both Lamar and Boomin – he infamously told the Atlanta star to “Shut yo’ ho-ass up and make some drums”. This caused the two to go back and forth online.

Most recently, Boomin launched the ‘BBL Drizzy’ challenge, where he released a flip of an A.I. motown-inspired parody song by King Willonius and encouraged rappers to rap on the instrumental. He promised the person with the best verse would win $10,000 (approximately £7,800). Drake briefly rapped over the beat on ‘U My Everything’ from Sexyy Red‘s second mixtape, ‘In Sexyy We Trust’.

21 Savage has remained neutral in the feud, claiming that both Boomin and Drake are his “brothers” and that they will “figure that shit out eventually”.

Recently, per Uproxx, Savage and Metro Boomin got into a playful fight during an Instagram Live. The producer jokingly called his friend “OVO Savage” in the comments section, adding, “I JUS KNOW U GOT A OWL TRAMP STAMP” – referring to the logo for Drake’s label, OVO.

Savage kicked him out of the live, using Drake’s lyric against Metro: “Oh, you was talking shit, bitch? Get off my Live. […] I’m finna block this n****. Metro, shut your ho-ass up and make some drums, n****.”
