Yungblud has nearly completed another new album during lockdown, the musician has told his fans.
The star â whose real name is Dominic Harrison â released his latest album âWeird!â only last month.
On an Instagram Live earlier this week, though, he shared with viewers that heâd been staying busy and productive. âIâm in the studio,â he said.
âWeâve been locked down here. Iâve been so mad creative! Iâve literally nearly got another album done, which is just fucking mental. I canât wait for you to see.â

âWeird!â is Harrisonâs second album, following 2018âs â21st Century Liabilityâ and landed him his first UK Number one last month (December 11). His previous chart peak was at Number Six with the 2019 EP âThe Underrated Youthâ.
Speaking to NME ahead of the release, the Doncaster musician revealed Amy Winehouse was a âhuge influenceâ on the record. âOnce I started to get a little bit bigger a lot more fucking cooks come in the kitchen, and Iâd have some meeting where a label executive would say they wanted to ânormalise meâ and make a song thatâll just be big for TikTok,â he explained. âIâd have Amy in my ear going, âFuck off, mate â tell the fucking truthâ.â
In a five-star review of âWeird!â, NME wrote: âTaking everything thatâs brilliant about Yungblud and amplifying it, album two is Harrison at his most extreme.
âItâs exactly where he belongs, too. Yungbludâs never seemed more inspiring or vital as he proves himself as one of the most important rock stars around. âweird!â really is wonderful.â
