Lucy Dacus has performed a Tiny Desk (Home) Concert from her old high school in Richmond, Virginia.
The indie-rock artist and her band returned to her alma mater for the special edition for NPRâs long-running series.
Performing from the classrooms of Maggie Walker High School, Dacus shared renditions of four songs from her latest album âHome Videoâ, which was released last month.
The setlist included âBrandoâ, âVBSâ, âGoing Going Goneâ and âThumbsâ. The latter performance was the first time Dacus has performed the song on camera. âIt might be tough to hear â thatâs just a warning,â she told viewers beforehand. âIf you donât want to listen to it, just turn this video off!â

In a four-star review of Dacusâ third album, NME said: ââHome Videoâ is full of the Matador artistâs typical subtle humour and gorgeously evocative poetry [âŠ] Dacus proves that looking back at your past might make you cringe, but there is beauty and value in those faltering, gawky days.â
The star will bring the record to the stages of the UK and Ireland next year. The tour will begin at Leedsâ Brudenell Social Club on March 18, and continue on to stops in Glasgow, Dublin, Manchester and Bristol. It will conclude with a gig at Londonâs Kentish Town Forum on March 25.
Meanwhile, Dacus shared a cover of Snow Patrolâs 2006 single âChasing Carsâ last month, reimagining the track with spectral synths and atmospherics.
