Tyler The Creator

Tyler, The CreatorĀ has called out his former collaborators, accusing them of selling his old music.

Yesterday (July 7), Tyler publicly accusedĀ Brandun Deshay and Tyler Major of stealing some of his unreleased music and selling it online.Ā While Tyler did not share details about the tracks that were allegedly shared, he claimed Deshay and Major were using the site Discord to share ā€œold songs of mine.ā€

ā€œā€¦Ā Copping stolen shit is like damnnnn u thirsty as hell ok,ā€ Tyler tweeted.

ā€œLike bruh that shit is true personal stolen stuff…Like damn bro you that thirsty for 2 minute drafts / few hundred bucks? Get it together fellas. Subliminal tried to get on a call like no bro, just stop, itā€™s not cool dawggy.ā€

Tyler has not yet indicated whether heā€™ll pursue legal action over the allegations.

NMEĀ has reached out to representatives of Tyler,Ā Brandun Deshay and Tyler Major for comment.

Back in June, Tyler heaped praise on Kendrick Lamar’s recent fifth album ā€˜Mr. Morale & The Big Steppersā€™.Ā “I think honesty is awesome ā€” with yourself, with [other] people,ā€ he said in an interview. ā€œI think when youā€™re making something [like an album], it doesnā€™t have to be so obvious. But just being honest with how youā€™re approaching shit is when the best shit comes.ā€

Tyler added: ā€œN****s donā€™t know how to give each other hugs and I hope we get past that. We will, though. The younger kids is like, ā€˜Whatā€™s up, bro? You good?ā€™ We gotta cut the bullshit and just start being super open and honest.ā€

Tyler then brought up ā€˜Mr. Morale & The Big Steppersā€™, saying: ā€œAnd thatā€™s what Kendrick just did with his new albumā€¦ I love that album, but I feel like he touches on shit thatā€™s so, like, open and honest that some people canā€™t listen to it because they probably feel like heā€™s looking at them in their eyes and theyā€™re like, ā€˜Oh, I canā€™t panic. Uhhh, I canā€™t listen to this. Put on something else so I can hit my dougieā€™. And keep forgetting and numbing the shit that heā€™s talking about.

ā€œNot saying the people thatā€™s doing that went through what [Kendrickā€™s] saying, but itā€™s making them think about the shit that theyā€™re covering up with that fucking, ā€˜Iā€™m hard, I shoot peopleā€™ shit. I see it, I see through it.ā€
