Ariana Grande has shared a series of new photos from a recording studio that seemingly teases a new music project is on the way soon.
Grande shared a series of photos and muted videos on Instagram today (December 7) that show her working in a recording studio. In many of the photos, Grande can be seen sitting at a computer while looking at audio files on screen.
Grande didn’t caption the posts but her friend and frequent collaborator Victoria Monet commented “she’s home!” while Grande’s Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo wrote in a comment: âno one is ready”, adding: âIâm so freaking proud of you…This project is so freaking special!”

Back in August, Grande paid tribute to Mac Miller in the video for a new version of the pairâs 2013 track âThe Wayâ. Grande shared a 10th anniversary deluxe reissue of her debut album âYours Trulyâ in the summer,, featuring a host of rarities and unheard material.
She also released a new live performance video for âBaby Iâ, filmed at the Soho House in London, where Grande is currently filming for the Wicked movie.
Also included in the album celebrations is a series of new videos, including one for âThe Wayâ. In the video, the background fades out at the end and left are the words âFeat. Mac Miller,â which glow in white at the trackâs conclusion.
Millerâs second verse in the song is also given a new orchestral string accompaniment, while the song is otherwise unchanged.
Earlier this year, Grande marked 10 years since the release of âThe Wayâ by paying tribute to Miller, who died in September 2018 following an accidental overdose and dated the singer between 2016-2018. Since then, Grande has paid tribute to her late ex-partner on her albums âThank U, Nextâ (2019) and âPositionsâ (2020).
In 2020Â Grande remembered Millerâs passion for music, saying she believed ânothing mattered more to him than music, ever…He was the kind of person who woke up, tumbled out of bed [and] into the studio next door. Nothing was more important,â the singer explained.
