Headie is set to release his second studio album âThe Last Oneâ on June 28, and in April, he shared the introspective single âCry No Moreâ, featuring Stormzy. You can pre-order the album here.
It was the two artistsâ third collaboration, after âAinât It Differentâ from Oneâs debut album âEdnaâ â which also featured AJ Tracey â and âAudacityâ from Stormzyâs album âHeavy Is The Headâ.
âThis is one of my favourites from the album,â Headie One said about âCry No Moreâ. âI loved the sample and 808s straight away when Tay and Pooh played it in the studio. Stormzy went crazy on it too.â
Headie also dropped the reflective single âSocialsâ earlier in April, although that is not expected to feature on the new album.
âThe Last Oneâ will serve as the follow-up to Headieâs 2020 album âEdnaâ, which made history as the first drill album to top the UK album charts. In a four-star review, NME wrote: ââEdnaâ is proof that heâs the unmistakable, global âKing of drillâ, and much more besides.â
