Janelle Monae has wrapped up her Pyramid Stage performance at Glastonbury 2024 ā check out fan reactions below.
On Sunday (June 30), Monae took to the Pyramid Stage shortly after Shania Twain for a powerful showcase of audio and visual excellence. She kicked off her set with ‘Float’ and ‘Champagne Shit’, decked out in flowers.
After an outfit change, Janelle Monae returned with bangers ‘Django Jane, ‘Q.U.E.E.N.’, Electric Lady’ and ‘Lipstick Lover’ among others.
Social media has reacted favourably to Janelle Monae’s set, with one X user writing: “Holy moly Janelle Monae can really sing”. See more reactions below.

However, some X users have pointed out that Monae was performing to a rather thin crowd, partially due to Avril Lavigne’s clashing set at the Other Stage and the England vs Slovakia match.
Obviously – OBVIOUSLY – the crowd has grown exponentially since Janelle came on stage.
And on the plus side, I got right to the side of the stage. pic.twitter.com/JHpgApkc9P

They really should have put Janelle Monae and Avril Lavinge on opposite stages. Why would they do it that way round? I like them both but Avril is obviously gonna draw a bigger crowd #Glastonbury2024 #Glastonbury

Such a huge shame for Janelle Monae about the England clash. That crowd is empty and she should be pulling in headline-worthy audiences. For those who are there watching, youāre in for a stellar treat! #Glastonbury
