Stevie Nicks has brought out Harry Styles as her surprise guest at her show at BST Hyde Park – watch fan-filmed footage of the moment below.
At Nicks’ headline show at Hyde Park last night (July 12), Styles made an unexpected appearance in the encore. It marks his first public performance since wrapping up his ‘Love On Tour‘ last year.
The pair first duetted by singing ‘Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around’, which they previously performed together during Nicks’ 2019 Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame Induction. They went on to perform ‘Landslide’ as a tribute to Christine McVie, who died in 2022 aged 79. Before their duet, Nicks made a speech about McVie, with Styles holding her hand throughout.
“Christine was Harry’s girl, she was my girl, she was your girl,” Nicks began. “She loved all of us, today was her birthday. It’s taken me all this time to try and be able to deal with this situation. One thing my mom used to say to me when I was little was when I was hurt, she’d go ‘Stevie when you’re hurt you always run to the stage. That’s what I’ve been doing ever since Chris passed away, is running to the stage. The only people that have been able to help me to get over this has been all of you.”

Styles has previously spoken about working with Nicks when peforming together, saying: “‘Dreams’ was the first song I knew all the words to; I used to sing it in the car with my mom. Every time I’m with [Nicks], you want to be, obviously, present, right? “I’m trying to enjoy being with her and soaking in.
“But I think at the same time, while you’re in the room with her, I’m sitting there thinking about being 10-years-old and singing the song.”
He also spoke about playing his album ‘Fine Line’ to the Fleetwood Mac singer and her friends, who he likened to a “witches coven”: “So it’s getting to like 3 am playing the album [and] I’m like, ‘I’m kinda tired’ and they’re right in their prime. They’re really like, ‘Oh this is like daytime for us’.”
Styles also revealed that Nicks offered him some words of wisdom after the album finished, and advised him to rethink his decision to release ‘Lights Up’ as the project’s lead single.
“I was like, ‘Okay’,” he said. “I definitely thought about it, but…I feel like the whole point is to just do. And then actually, I guess the feeling for me becomes, ‘Okay, well, if I wanted it this way and then she told me to change it – and I didn’t – I must really want it this way’.”
In other news, Mick Fleetwood has said he “would love to see a healing” between Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham.
