Will Ferrell will play a DJ set alongside Swedish House Mafia in Chicago this October in aid of Cancer For College.

The Anchorman star will step behind the decks at the Wintrust Arena on October 26, as he announced in a video for social media this week.
“Oh, hello, I didn’t see you there,” he says in the video, while wearing a Swedish House Mafia t-shirt. “I have a major announcement to make. I’ll be playing with my band, Swedish House Mafia. Boys – Steve, Seb, Ax – get in here… Be there. Don’t piss these guys off.”
Tickets for the show have yet to be made available, but the money raised will go to Cancer For College, a charity that offers support to cancer survivors.
Earlier this week, Ferrell revealed that his behaviour drove James Caan “crazy” on the set of 2003 festival classic Elf.
“James Caan — may he rest in peace, and we had such a good time working on that movie — he would tease me,” he said. “We’d be in between setups, he was like, ‘I don’t get you. You’re not funny. You’re not funny.’ And I’m like, ‘I know! I’m not Robin Williams.’ He’s like, ‘People ask me, “Is he funny?” And I’m like, “No, he’s not funny!” It was all with love.”
Ferrell went on to explain that Caan’s bemusement with his on-screen demeanour only helped to enhance the comedic dynamic between Buddy and his grumpy father.
“I love that the whole time, he’s not acting,” Ferrell continued. “He’s truly annoyed with me. Like, ‘Will this guy shut the fuck up? Jesus!’ So I literally drove him crazy in that movie, just acting like that kid.”
Ferrell recently reprised the voice role of villain Maxime Le Mal in Despicable Me 4, which is now showing in cinemas.
Swedish House Mafia, meanwhile, are preparing for a huge six-week residency at the famed Ushuaïa venue in Ibiza.
The trio of Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso will happen once a week, starting on July 21 and wrapping on August 25. Find any remaining tickets here.
