A secret movie hidden in several episodes of The Simpsons has resurfaced online.
During the early seasons of the show, The Simpsons family were often seen watching an action film featuring McBain – a character who was remarkably similar to action hero Arnold Schwarzanegger. Clips of the movie featured in several episodes of the show.
Now, a social media user on X/Twitter has collated all the clips together to reveal a short film that was hidden in all of the episodes.
The clips went viral with many fans not realising that there was a movie hidden in the show.

The movie follows McBain, who is a police officer, as he tries to expose a senator who he discovers is secretly running a drug cartel.
Voiced by Harry Shearer, McBain first made an appearance in the show during ‘The Way We Was’ in season two.
The clip shows him telling his boss he has uncovered the secret before he’s scolded for his work to oust the high profile senator. The next scene, which appeared three episodes later in season two, shows McBain fighting after a waiter suddenly pulls out a gun in a restaurant. McBain’s partner jumps in front of the gunman who saves his life. Before he dies, he tells McBain to bring down the senator.
Other scenes show how he captures the senator over several episodes – including one where he’s disguised as an ice statue. Some of the episodes contain some of McBain’s most famous lines like “bye, book” and “ice to see you,” which were delivered in the style of Schwarzenegger.
The short film ends in season four, episode 17, when the senator discusses McBain’s fate with his henchman, who imply he’s been killed.
However, McBain appears out of nowhere and grabs the senator before being approached by a woman at the end of the scene, in what many fans compare to the style of a James Bond movie.

In other news, an episode of The Simpsons has been removed from Channel 4’s schedule following a shooting at a Donald Trump rally over the weekend.
The former US President was hit on the ear and rushed off stage during a rally on Saturday (July 13) in Pennsylvania after a gunman opened fire, with the gunman – identified by the FBI as Thomas Matthew Crooks – and an audience member killed.
The following day (July 14), Channel 4 was scheduled to show The Simpsons episode ‘Lisa The Iconoclast’ as part of a run-through of season seven, though this was later replaced by season 30’s ‘Baby You Can’t Drive’.
Some fans online speculated that this change was linked to the Trump news, with the pulled episode containing a similar scene in which Lisa stands on stage while a law enforcement officer aims a rifle at her from a nearby rooftop.
The episode itself follows Lisa as she discovers that Springfield founder Jebediah Springfield was actually a murderous pirate who tried to kill US President George Washington.
Following the Trump assassination attempt, many figures in the entertainment world have shared their reactions, including 50 Cent, M.I.A., Kid Rock, and Freddie Gibbs, while fans of Lana Del Rey have also been sharing memes online.
Trump released a statement after the shooting, saying he was “fine” and thanked Secret Service agents and law enforcement officers for their “rapid response”.
“Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the rally who was killed and also to the family of [those] badly injured,” he added. “It is incredible that such an act can take place in our country.”
