Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst has collaborated with country rock singer Hardy on the latter’s ‘SOUL4SALE’, taken from new album ‘Quit!!’ released last Friday (July 12). Watch its music video below.
The song features rap verses from Durst, who yearns for both spiritual redemption (“But me I want the cross from the resurrection (Jesus) / So I can clone the one and only man himself (Jesus)”) and hard partying (“I’m ready for the weekdays to turn into the weekends / Never know what day it is”).
‘SOUL4SALE’ marks the latest Durst collaboration, following his efforts with Wargasm and Alligatoah last year.
In June, Durst’s Limp Bizkit entered a collaboration of their own with none other than Ed Sheeran, who took lead vocals on ‘Behind Blue Eyes’ during the band’s Pinkpop Festival 2024 headline set.
Another festival is also keen to have Limp Bizkit as a headliner – Download Festival boss Andy Copping has suggested the band should headline the festival when they return.
Limp Bizkit sub-headlined the last day of this year’s edition – it marked their first appearance at Donington Park since 2013, in support of their 2021 comeback album ‘Still Sucks’.
On NME’s three-star review of ‘Still Sucks’, Ali Shutler writes: “‘Still Sucks’ doesn’t feel laboured or overthought and never overstays its welcome. Limp Bizkit aren’t out to rewrite their history or reach a new generation. They don’t care if you still think they suck – they still know how to have a good time, and won’t stop rollin’.”
