Retail tracking service Circana has shared an updated list of the best-selling Star Wars games of all time.

The top-ten list runs from January 1995 to May 2024, with the Star Wars titles sorted by their lifetime dollar sales, which includes digital downloads.

The 2015 revival of Star Wars: Battlefront tops out the list, with EA reporting in 2016 that the title had moved over 16million copies. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order comes in second just ahead of 2017’s Star Wars: Battlefront 2, which was reported to have sold 9million copies in its first month.

The list also includes four different Lego Star Wars titles and the original Battlefront 2. In 2022, Lego confirmed The Skywalker Saga was the best-selling Lego game yet, with over 3.3million units shifted.

Check out the list of the top-ten bestselling Star Wars games below.

  1. Star Wars: Battlefront (2015)
  2. Star Wars Jedi: Fall Order
  3. Stars Wars: Battlefront 2 (2017)
  4. Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
  5. Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga
  6. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
  7. Star Wars: Battlefront 2 (2005)
  8. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
  9. Lego Star Wars 2: The Original Trilogy
  10. Lego Star Wars

The above list will probably change over the coming months, with a new Star Wars Jedi title reportedly in the works and the upcoming launch of Star Wars Outlaws.

The open-world action adventure game is due for release August 30 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Set between the events of Empire Strikes Back and Return Of The Jedi, players will take control of Kay Vess, a scoundrel seeking freedom, as they “fight, steal, and outwit their way through the galaxy’s crime syndicates as they join the galaxy’s most wanted.”

Star Wars Outlaws has been heavily compared to Uncharted since it was first announced, with creative director Julian Gerighty really pleased about the comparisons. “If you’re going to be compared to somebody, it might as well be the best in the industry,” he said.

Following a hands-on preview, NME wrote: “In capturing the scum and villainy of this richly-realised corner of a galaxy far, far away, Star Wars Outlaws sinks its claws in – and if developer Ubisoft can smooth out combat’s rougher edges, this could wind up being one of the best Star Wars games ever made.”

In other news, Capcom has shared a new teaser trailer for Street Fighter 6 that confirms the introduction of a fan-favourite fighter.
