The new trailer for the upcoming fourth season of Emily In Paris has arrived today – watch it below.

The rom-com drama series, starring Lily Collins as an American marketing executive who movies to Paris, debuted in 2020.

The fourth instalment of the hit Netflix show will arrive in two five-episode parts, with the first landing on August 15 and part two on September 12.

A synopsis of the new series reads: “After the dramatic events of Camille and Gabriel’s misbegotten wedding, Emily is reeling: She has strong feelings for two men, but now Gabriel’s expecting a baby with his ex, and Alfie’s worst fears about her and Gabriel have been confirmed.

“At work, Sylvie is forced to confront a thorny dilemma from her past for the sake of her marriage, and the Agence Grateau team navigates personnel shakeups. Mindy and the band prepare for Eurovision, but when funds run dry, they’re forced to get thrifty. Emily and Gabriel’s chemistry is undeniable as they work together towards a Michelin star, but two big secrets threaten to undo everything they’ve dreamed of.”

Season four will see the return of Collins in the titular role, as well as many of the main cast, including Ashley Park and Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu.

The show’s writer and creator Darren Star has spoken on the upcoming series, teasing even more details of its plot, and this season’s varying locations: “Emily finds herself with a busy travel schedule in Season 4 of Emily in Paris. From the French Alps to the piazzas of Rome, viewers will vicariously experience amazing new locations through Emily’s eyes.”

He continued: “Expect new characters, a lot more drama, romance, and a whole new language to try and master.”

Collins posted an official announcement video to her Instagram page earlier today, where she and other cast members described the new series. The cast called it “vulnerable, adventurous, messy, chaotic” and more.

In a three-star review of the third season, NME praised the show’s costume design:  “Patricia Field, the brilliant costume designer who made Sex and the City, the most fashion-forward show of its era, continues to ace the assignment here by dressing these characters in fabulously impractical outfits.”
