Elden Ring servers are unfortunately down for some scheduled maintenence, and they’re expected to stay down for at least another hour.
Today, Tuesday July 30, the Elden Ring servers have been taken offline for some scheduled maintence so that patch 1.13 can be fully rolled out across all platforms. It’s not clear what this patch contains at the moment, we’ll have to wait for the full patch notes.
NME loaded a PS5 copy of Elden Ring and was met with the message: “Cannot log in to the Elden Ring game server because it has been temporarily disabled or is undergoing maintenance”.
The #ELDENRING servers will undergo maintenance today, July 30, to deploy Patch 1.13.
Maintenance will begin at 00:00 PDT | 9:00 CEST | 16:00 JST and will last around 3 hours.

Don’t worry, though, as the patch has already gone live on PS5 and the game can still be started in offline mode on any platform, so you’re not prevented from playing, just accessing network features like PvP and player messages.
One recent patch made the DLC significantly easier by increasing the effect of the Scadutree blessing, ensuring players do more damage and take less while in the Realm of Shadow. Now, players have already beaten the hardest boss in the DLC with just one hit, so maybe FromSoftware will be looking to make it a little harder this time around.
If you’re still struggling through the DLC yourself, NME has put together a fantastic route for you to take through it. Like the base game, you can go anywhere right from the start, but this route ensures you’ll be matching the strength scaling of the enemies as long as you keep upgrading your Scadutree blessing.

In other news, Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford has told fans the next Borderlands game shouldn’t be too far off, stating “we’re not going to be making people wait for a long time before we announce it.”
