A concert by SiR in Toronto was cancelled seemingly out of nowhere, with speculation that it has to do with the venueās ties with Drake.
On July 18, he quote-tweeted a fanās concerned tweet about his show meeting the same fate as his labelmate ScHoolboy Q, whose own show in Toronto on July 18 was also suddenly cancelled by venue History. āMy shit aināt cancelled,ā SiR wrote.
Last Tuesday (July 30), he quote-tweeted his own tweet to correct himself: āThis shit didnāt age well at allā¦.ā He then broke the news: āSo sorry to my Toronto fans. The show has been cancelled. Weāre working on rescheduling for a later date.ā

ScHoolboy Q poked fun at the situation, telling SiR to āsing on the busā home because itās āover with youā. SiR quote-tweeted with a laughing emoji and wrote: āThey DONāT like usā, seemingly a stab at Kendrick Lamarās wildly popular Drake diss track āNot Like Usā.

He further fuelled speculation after clarifying that the show was sold out, but the venue decided to cancel it. āNot sure why,ā he wrote. āMy apologies again to those that came just to see me.ā
For those wondering, we sold that show out. It was cancelled by the venue. Not sure why. My apologies again to those that came just to see me.

The 2,500-capacity venue History, which is owned by Live Nation, is known as the brainchild between the concert giant and Drake. Live Nation has yet to respond to press queries about the concert cancellations for SiR and ScHoolboy Q.
Drake collaborator Gordo recently spoke out on the infamous beef. In an interview with People, Gordo maintained that Drake has ābeen past itā since it happened.
āThe internet makes it seem like, āOh, that photo, heās all sad and shit.ā Thatās just a bad photo from a bad camera,ā he said. āBut because itās him, itās put under a magnifying glass like, ‘Oh, look at his eyes. Heās looking a little droopy. He hasnāt slept.’ But the guyās been happy as shit, to be honest. Heās chilling.ā
Despite Gordo’s claims, however, it seems Drake has not yet shaken off the much-publicised battle. The rapper is reportedly working on his next response to Lamar, according to streamer and personality DJ Akademiks, while Drake referenced ‘Not Like Us’ in a recent social media post.
