This article contains spoilers for Deadpool & Wolverine

Ryan Reynolds has revealed that he knows why Thor was crying in Deadpool & Wolverine, hinting towards a possible scene in Avengers: Secret Wars.

Reynolds recently took to social media to share an image of the scene, in which Deadpool and Thor feature together in an unknown future – a spoiler that Matthew Macfadyen’s Paradox was quick to shut down at the TVA.

“I know why Thor was crying. I can’t unknow it,” Reynolds wrote alongside the image, in which Hemsworth’s character is seen holding a wounded Deadpool in his arms.

Many have since replied to the post, suggesting that it could be a scene from a future Avengers movie – either the Robert Downey Jr-led Avengers: Doomsday, or Avengers: Secret Wars, which are set to be released in 2026 and 2027 respectively.

Now, Hemsworth has increased speculation by resharing Reynolds’ post and writing: “I can keep secrets too.”

Fans now seem to be convinced that Hemsworth’s cryptic post was a sly tease of what’s to come in Avengers: Secret Wars.

“The Secrets will come out in the War,” wrote one X user, while another posted: “I heard it was wars, but you guys gotta keep a secret!!!”

Elsewhere, Reynolds recently chimed in after Jamie Lee Curtis issued an apology on social media for saying Marvel is in its “bad” phase.

Yesterday (August 1), Curtis posted a length apology on X, saying: “My comments about Marvel were stupid and I will do better.”

She mentioned that she has since reached out to Kevin Feige and “will no longer play in that mud slinging sandbox of competition we call the internet”.

“Nor will I engage in the toilet paper promotion or game play that is designed for clicks not content or conversation,” she added.

In response, Reynolds quote-tweeted Curtis’ post and said: “Wait, is everyone expected to apologise for slamming Marvel post-Endgame?”
