A man has been arrested for posting a “terroristic threat” at a Morgan Wallen concert on Friday (August 2).

Just before the country singer was due to take to the stage, Aaron Brown threatened on social media to shoot “two individuals, who were members of the Kansas City Chiefs organization” at the concert.

Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and Chris Jones were just some high-profile Chiefs players seen attending the concert at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

The threat delayed the Wallen concert by 40 minutes, as Brown was located and eventually apprehended by police. He was then charged with a class E felony of making a “terroristic threat” in the second degree. A $15,000 bond was reportedly set, with prosecutors requesting a $250,000 cash bond, according to their office.

In court documents, Brown was quoted as saying the X post was “a stupid, stupid, stupid mistake”, claiming he had never made threats on social media before. His girlfriend also reportedly told investigators that the alleged threat was posted and deleted on a “burner” account where he’d “tweet stupid stuff.”

Representatives for Wallen and the Kansas City Chiefs have not yet responded to requests for comment by the media.

Last July, Wallen was hit by a fan’s phone during a live show. The country star was playing a show at Denver’s Mile High Stadium last week when someone threw an iPhone onto the stage from the pit. The phone hit Wallen on the arm and landed his feet, but he barely flinched. He picked it up, tossed it to the side and carried on singing without missing a beat.

In other news, Darius Rucker thinks people should forgive Morgan Wallen as he’s “tried to really better himself”.
