Bruce Springsteen joined Zach Bryan as a surprise guest on stage during a show in Philadelphia this week for a performance of ‘Atlantic City’.

On Wednesday (August 7), during the second Philadelphia show of Bryan’s ‘Quittin Time Tour’, the pair performed the iconic Springsteen track as well as their new collaboration ‘Sandpaper’.

‘Atlantic City’, taken from Springsteen’s 1982 album ‘Nebraska’, is a stripped-down acoustic number with haunting lyrics and a spine-tingling sound.

The pair sang the iconic chorus together: “Everything dies, baby that’s a fact/But maybe everything that dies some day comes back/Put your makeup on, fix your hair up pretty/And meet me tonight in Atlantic City.”

They then went into ‘Sandpaper’ a Springsteen-featuring track from Bryan’s latest album ‘The Great American Bar Scene‘. The new project also features John Mayer and John Moreland.

Concert-goers in Philadelphia have been posting footage from the shared moment on stage on TikTok. Watch below:

Springsteen then joined Bryan back on stage during the encore with The Lumineers and comedian Shane Gillis for a performance of ‘Revival’, from Bryan’s 2020 album ‘Elisabeth’.

Earlier this year, Springsteen made a stop along the tour to join Bryan on stage at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center in New York where they debuted the then-unreleased ‘Sandpaper’ live.

Last month, during the Nashville show of his ‘Quittin Time Tour’, Bryan brought out the viral ‘Hawk Tuah’ girl as a special guest.

Real name Hailey Welch, the woman went viral online after being interviewed about what drives a man crazy in bed during an on-the-street video interview. In the clip, she responds with: “You gotta give ’em that ‘hawk tuah’ and spit on that thang!”

Bryan brought Welch on during ‘Revival’, the night’s final song. After singing the track with Bryan, Welch gave the crowd a “hawk tuah!” before walking off stage to cheers from the attendees.

Also last month, Bruce Springsteen helped a couple get engaged while performing at Wembley Stadium.

While performing ‘The Promised Land’ with the E Street Band, Springsteen noticed a sign in the front row that read: “My boyfriend will propose if he can have your harmonica.”

Springsteen then powered through a rendition of the track, which features a lot of harmonica, walked up to the couple and took the sign out of their hands, showed it to the camera, and then gave them the harmonica.

According to an estimation by Forbes, Springsteen has now reached billionaire status. He is apparently worth $1.1 billion, following a six-decade career that’s seen him release 21 studio albums, seven live albums, and five EPs, selling over 140 million albums globally.
