LE SSERAFIM have shared an exclusive playlist to accompany their appearance on NME’s The Cover this week.

The girl group are the latest K-pop stars to grace The Cover, a renewal of NME’s commitment to supporting emerging talent across the globe on a weekly basis. Every week, a rising artist will feature on The Cover – you can read the profile of LE SSERAFIM here, written by Rhian Daly and featuring photography by Kristen Jan Wong.

To accompany The Cover, LE SSERAFIM have curated an exclusive playlist for NME titled ‘Perfect Night’, named after their hit 2023 single. The collection features 15 songs that quintet have selected to curate the vibe for a perfect night, featuring deep cuts from Day6 and NIKI, dance hits by Dua Lipa and Marshmello, and many more. Listen to the full playlist on Spotify below and on Apple Music.

Kim Chaewon kicks things off with a selection of laid-back tracks from fellow South Korean artists Day6 and EXO’s D.O., alongside the playlist’s namesake, ‘Perfect Night’ by the girl group themselves. Meanwhile, Sakura mixes things up with a country dance-pop hit ‘Miles On It’ by Marshmello and Kane Brown, alongside more mellow offerings by Henry Moodie and NIKI.

Korean-American member Huh Yunjin shows her eclectic tastes with three contrasting picks by South Korean indie rock band Wave to Earth, alt K-pop collective Balming Tiger and singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams. On the other hand, Kazuha shows her love for pop hits with her choice of ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’ by Charlie Puth and Selena Gomez, alongside tracks from boyband PRETTYMUCH and Dua Lipa.

Rounding out LE SSERAFIM’s ‘Perfect Night’ playlist for NME, Hong Eunchae highlights three emotionally stirring tracks from South Korean artists: the punk-pop ‘Drowning’ from WOODZ, the French-language piano ballad ‘L’Amour, Les Baguettes, Paris’ by Stella Jung and Seori’s break-up anthem ‘The Long Night’ with Giriboy.

In this week’s The Cover, LE SSERAFIM discuss their upcoming mini-album ‘Crazy’ and tearing down the walls of their “fearless” image. “Idols are expected to present ourselves as perfect, but, at the same time, nobody’s perfect,” Sakura says. “We have our shortcomings. It takes courage to express those and show that weakness, but we try to embrace it and move forward.”
