Childish Gambino has kicked off his world tour this week – check out some of the live debuts and rarities he performed below.
Last night (August 11), Childish Gambino, aka Donald Glover, began his world tour at Oklahoma Cityâs Paycom Center. The set included songs that Glover had never performed live, as well as a few rarities that havenât been performed in several years.
It was also Gambinoâs first time taking his new album âBando Stone & The New Worldâ out on the road.
Some of the rarities that were performed for the first time in nine years included âDo Ya Likeâ, âBonfireâ and âFreaks And Geeksâ. âL.E.S.â also got its first performance since 2013.
Check out footage of the gig below, together with the setlist.

Kyann-Syan Williams wrote of âBando Stone and The New Worldâ in a four-star review for NME: âGlover has made a record as otherworldly as his other outings. Yet, âBando Stone and The New Worldâ stumbles slightly â where its sonic variety is exciting, it lacks a clear sense of cohesion or theme compared to his previous work â making it a bittersweet farewell to the legend of Childish Gambino.â
Last week, ahead of the albumâs release, Glover explained why he was retiring Childish Gambino, chalking it up to portraying the rapper not being âfulfillingâ anymore, and wanted to dedicate more time to his personal life and other avenues after the death of his father and the birth of his children.
