2ne1 cl treasure haruto surprise concert performance reboot seoul

TREASURE recently brought out 2NE1‘s CL as a surprise special guest at their recent ‘Reboot’ encore concert in Seoul.

TREASURE held a concert at the KSPO Dome in Seoul, South Korea on August 15, which was also the final date of the YG Entertainment boyband’s ‘Reboot’ tour of Asia in May and June. To wrap up the show, they surprised audiences by bringing out labelmate CL of girl group 2NE1.

During her surprise appearance, CL performed mash-up of two of her older songs: 2013 solo debut single ‘The Baddest Female’ and the 2014 track ‘MTBD’, from 2NE1’s second studio album ‘Crush’. Watch her performance here:

CL’s performance at TREASURE’s concert marks first time she’s performed both songs in a number of years, particularly since 2NE1 was disbanded in 2016. It also comes a little over a month since she and the rest of 2NE1 – completed by Minzy, Sandara Park and Park Bomconfirmed their reunion under YG Entertainment.

The girl group will kick-off their reunion with a world tour called ‘Welcome Back’, which will take place from 2024 to 2025. It begin with a three-night residency at the Olympic Hall in Seoul this early October, before heading to Japan in November and December. More shows in other regions are expected to be announced in the coming months.

2NE1 made their debut in 2009 under YG Entertainment, and later became one of the most successful second-generation K-pop acts. They released a slew of hits throughout their career, including ‘Fire’, ‘I Am The Best’, ‘Come Back Home’ and many others.

Meanwhile, TREASURE’s ‘Reboot’ tour was in support of their second studio album of the same name, which released in July 2023. According to a previous announcement from YG, the boyband are slated to return with new music sometime this fall.
