Tom Grennan

Tom Grennan has officially released his full version of the Gillette ‘The Best A Man Can Get’ advertising jingle.

The singer-songwriter was first invited by the American razor and personal care brand to rework their famous theme song in 2023, with his version first premiering in December during a primetime television slot, and remaining in widespread usage ever since.

Grennan’s fans have been urging him to formally release the tune for several months, and today (August 16), the artist has made it happen.

Writing on X, Grennan said: “I have finally caved… The full version of @GilletteUK #TheBestAManCanGet is out now”.

The full 61-second track is on major streaming platforms now, and you can listen to the official audio below:

The jingle was first conceived as a marketing tool by Gillette in 1989 and had its world premiere during the commercial break in the Super Bowl XXIII that year between the San Francisco 49ers and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Fans of Grennan have been popping up at his gigs this summer with Gillette tops, with one holding up a sign reading, “Tom please play Gillette”, which Grennan shared on Instagram, saying it was “just too good to ignore”.

Grennan’s last studio release was 2023’s ‘What Ifs & Maybes’, his third album. It included the singles ‘You Are Not Alone’, ‘Here’, ‘Remind Me’, ‘All These Nights’ and ‘How Does It Feel’, and it became the singer’s second UK Number One album.

After the album’s success, Grennan picked up the Best UK & Ireland Act at the 2023 MTV EMAs last November, beating the likes of Sam Smith, Calvin Harris and Raye. He was also named the eighth most played artist in the UK in the year 2023, in a list where Ed Sheeran pipped Taylor Swift to the top.

Last week (August 10), he also played his biggest ever headline show at London’s Gunnersbury Park, with Blossoms in support.
