Fans of The Beatles will now be able to stay at one of the earliest venues the band played in, as it has been turned into an Airbnb.

Located at 8 Haymans Green, West Derby, Liverpool, The Casbah Coffee Club saw the Fab Four perform over 40 times during the start of their career and 13 times by the late John Lennon‘s first band The Quarrymen.

The venue first opened in 1956 in the basement of Pete Best’s – the Beatles’ original drummer – family home by his mother Mona. The venue has now become a Grade II building and was developed as a five-apartment Airbnb. You can book a reservation for the Airbnb here.

Each room – located above the club – was turned into a suite and have been named after each original Beatle member including Lennon, Paul McCartney, Best and the band’s first bass player Stuart Sutcliffe.

Best and his younger brother Roag – who is also the son of Beatles road manager Neil Aspinall – have been working on converting the house since 2020. Each room has some Beatles memorabilia such as photos of the band, instruments and posters.

Rooms start at £150 a night with the Airbnb seeing bookings from people located in the United States, Canada, Scotland and the UK.

Although there is no Ringo Starr suite, Best shared that there is no bad blood between the two. “I still don’t know the reason today, but it doesn’t worry me one iota,” he said. “As far as I’m concerned, it happened 60-odd years ago, and I’ve lived my life, I’ve had a great life,” he told The Guardian. “It did cause me initial heartache and resentment, but that’s showbusiness.”

His brother Roag added: “Everything we do is about being authentic and the Beatles that performed and partied here were John, Paul, George, Pete and Stuart. Ringo was never a member when he was here.”

The renovation of the Casbah Coffee Club was also a labour of love from Best and his brother as a way to honour their mother’s legacy. “I think if she’d still been here today – and she’s watching from above, I’ll tell you that now – she’d be very proud, of the legacy that’s been left, and the legacy that we’re building,” Pete said.

In other news, Snoop Dogg recently revealed that Paul McCartney told him to not put out his blunt when the pair met each other.
