The latest expansion for PowerWash Simulator has been revealed, with players able to clean up the fantasy world of Shrek.

PowerWash Simulator was first released in July 2022, allowing players to spray things clean using bursts of water. It’s become something of a cult hit, helped out with big name crossovers including SpongeBob SquarePants, Back To The Future, Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland and Warhammer 40,000.
FuturLab has now confirmed a new paid expansion coming to PowerWash Simulator. The Shrek Special Pack includes five new “fairytale” maps inspired by the warped world of Shrek, including a dragon’s lair and Shrek’s swamp. The DLC will also feature a set of armour as an outfit and ten new achievements.
“Shrek’s Swamp got a whole lot dirtier. It’s up to you to wash away those layers of dirt. Deep clean this fairy tale kingdom in Shrek Special Pack for PowerWash Simulator,” reads the description of the teaser trailer. Check it out below.
PowerWash Simulator’s Shrek Special Pack is due for release this autumn and will cost players £6.50. However, players can also currently get their hands on a number of freebies released by Futurlab as part of their Washer-versary, including more levels, outfits and jobs.
“Peel away those layers of dirt like layers of an onion, which are a lot like layers of an ogre,” said the official Xbox X account following the Shrek announcement, with fans stoked on the newly-announced PowerWash crossover as well. “The Oasis news was big but this…” wrote one fan, with another adding, “the scream I SCRUMPT. As someone who regularly quotes Farquaad & Gingy’s interaction, I NEEEEED this.”
Early this year, a fifth Shrek film was confirmed with the original cast all returning, including Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz. However, it is currently unknown if Antonia Banderas will return as Puss In Boots.
The film is set for release July 1 2026 in time for the 25th anniversary of the franchise while Murphy has also hinted at a solo Donkey film.
