Fans are expecting Final Fantasy 16 to be made available for all PS Plus subscribers after it was briefly listed on the service.
PS Plus is a subscription-based service that gives PlayStation users access to an ever-changing library of games. Last year, the company had to defend a substantial price hike for the service.
Last night (August 29) Final Fantasy 16 appeared on PS Plus, with the full game available to all PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers.

The listing was altered a few hours later to include the full retail price of the game but since Final Fantasy 16 hasn’t even been available to demo via the PS Plus service, fans are expecting an official announcement about its inclusion on the service in the coming days.

The game also does not appear on the trials list so this looks to be the full game

Final Fantasy 16 was released in 2023 for the PlayStation 5, with a PC version finally set to launch on September 17. However, speaking to GamesRadar+, director Hiroshi Takai said that “looking at the results, I think the time we’ve put into optimising the game for PC was time well spent.”
He went on to say that is was “possible – probably even likely” that future Final Fantasy games will launch across console and PC on the same day. “We don’t get anything out of delaying its release either. That said, the team in charge of each project gets to decide its own policy, so this is just my personal opinion,” he added.
Earlier this week, Sony confirmed a trio of new games coming to the PS Plus service. Quidditch Champions, Little Nightmares 2 and MLB The Show 24 will be available for free across all three tiers of the service from September 3 to September 30.
In other news, the makers of Star Wars Outlaws have defended the issues that have come alongside the launch of the game, saying it’s not “ideal” but does reflect the ambition of the game.
