Star Wars

One Starfield player has created a total-conversion mod that turns Bethesda Game Studios’ role-playing game into a Star Wars title.

The ambitious Star Wars Genesis is available to download via Nexus Mods and adds a variety of new features to Starfield including an original storyline, 10,000 rewritten voice lines and a complete overhaul of the sound and music.

Star Wars Genesis features its own unique lore and universe, very similar to but separate from the canon Star Wars universe. This gives us the creative freedom that otherwise wouldn’t be possible with the current modding limitations of Starfield,” explained creator DeityVengy.

“With this creative freedom, we can deliver plenty of familiar references to the source material, but also offer remixed stories for long-time fans to enjoy.”

Star Wars Genesis also converts all of Starfield’s weapons, factions and armour while a number of cities have also been reworked to echo the Star Wars universe.

“The goal of Star Wars Genesis is to convert Starfield into Star Wars,” DeityVengy added. “This is a Total Conversion project, meaning that every aspect of Starfield is being replaced or modified in some sort of way, to the point that one may consider this a different game.”

Star Wars Genesis is an experience,” they continued. “One that you cannot find anywhere else. It is the Ultimate Star Wars RPG, featuring a harsh and unforgiving Galaxy that has not been seen yet in any other form of modern Star Wars media, with the project “heavily inspired” by Star Wars Galaxy, Knights Of The Old Republic and the expanded universe collection, Legends.

Later this year, Bethesda is due to release the long-awaited Shatter Space expansion for Starfield. The horror-inspired new storyline will see players get familiar with the creepy House Va’ruun faction as they deal with a power struggle on the edge of catastrophe. The expansion will launch September 30.

In other news, last week Final Fantasy 16 was briefly made available to PS Plus subscribers, with many now expecting a full launch in the coming days.
