Forza Horizon 5 PS5 Release Date: Several cars can be seen

Forza Horizon 5 is finally coming to PlayStation 5. After months of rumours that the game was ready to ship, Playground Games confirmed the news in January –  and the game is coming before the Summer.

Here are the exact details on the release window for the game and the extra content update launching alongside the PS5 version of the game.

‘Forza Horizon 5’ release date

Forza Horizon 5 will release on PS5 on April 29, 2025. For those who purchase the Premium Edition, they can play from April 25, 2025. This was announced in an official blog post on the Forza website.

It is somewhat unusual to be doing an early access period for the game as it has been out on Xbox for 3 and a half years, but its just the latest push into early access releases from Xbox.

All the same content that is available in the Xbox and PC versions of the game will be in the PS5 version. However, the expansions and Car Packs will need to be purchased, as this isn’t a complete edition of the game in one package.

‘Forza Horizon 5’ Horizon Realms update

Forza Horizon 5‘s Horizon Realms update will be released on all platforms. It curates the best Evolving Worlds content and updates from throughout the last three years of support for the game. This includes the Stunt Park, Ice Rink, Oval Track, Summer Party, Neon Airstrip, Día de Muertos, Winter Wonderland, Lunar Drift Arena, Retrowave Highway, Cars and Coffee, and Stadium Maze.

Additionally, Horizon Realms will add four new cars, the 2024 Lamborghini Revuelto, 2023 Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato, 2018 Lotus Exige Cup 430, and the 2022 Hennessey Mammoth 6×6. Horizon Realms will get its own set of accolades too for both the freeplay mode and skill mode.

‘Forza Horizon 5’ PS5 Pro Support

Forza Horizon 5 will also support PS5 Pro. The quality mode adds ray-traced car reflections to races and free roam on PS5 Pro, while the Performance mode increases the visual fidelity while maintaining a high frame rate.
