A socially distanced outdoor cinema is set to arrive in London this summer.

The Free Range Film Club will screen a series of movies at The Three Mills Island, Blackheath Common and Brockwell Park throughout July and August.
Film titles will include Black Panther, Groundhog Day, Grease, 10 Things I Hate About You, Romeo + Juliet, Get Out, Thelma & Louise and more. Tickets will start from £20, and are on sale now – with more venues to be added soon.
Social distancing measures will be in place, including limited capacity, allocated spacing and designated distancing of groups.
Organisers said: “The balmy nights can be enjoyed entirely alfresco with not a car in sight; just bring a blanket and we’ll deliver bespoke street food and cold crafty tipples direct to your space.”

The rise of alternative movie experiences came in response to traditional cinemas closing their doors in March due to the coronavirus crisis.
Boris Johnson has given the go-ahead for cinemas to reopen from July 4, but many are still choosing to stay closed until a later date. Cineworld, which had previously announced all its branches would reopen on July 10, has now postponed the reopening until July 31.
