The Manchester band performed to 250,000 fans over two nights at the Hertfordshire venue in August 1996.
McGee  â who signed Oasis to his label Creation Records, kickstarting their ascent to fame â is now estimating that Gallagher could sell out a solo show there. âLiam can do it, itâs only 125,000 people,â he said during an appearance on Phil Taggartâs Slacker podcast.
âI would say heâs almost as big as Oasis. Heâs massive, Liam, at this point.â
McGee added: âDay one of me meeting him he thought he was great, and he is a great singer. Heâs one of the best ones Iâve ever worked with.â
He also weighed in on whether the beloved British band would ever reunite. Oasis split in 2009 following a falling out between Gallagher and brother Noel backstage at Rock En Seine festival in France.
âTheyâre brothers, so you never know, maybe one day theyâll make up,â he said. âI hope they do.â
The music industry mogul said that while heâs still âpretty tightâ with Noel, he hasnât seen Liam âfor yearsâ.
âLiam threatened to batter me recently, I donât really know what happened I didnât speak to him,â he said. âThen a day later he said he loved me, so fuck knows what happened with that one.â
Last year, Gallagher said he could play Knebworth by himself, whether or not an Oasis reunion happens in the future. âI could do it easy!â he told NME.
âKnebworth â it would be a piece of piss to be perfectly honest. âAnd itâs definitely gonna happen.â
In 2019, the star teased his return to the legendary site, tweeting: âAny body fancy knebworth nxt summer câmon you knowâ. Former Oasis guitarist Paul âBoneheadâ Arthurs responded to his former bandmateâs tweet by simply saying: âMe.â
