Former Oasis drummer Alan White teased that he might join the band in their sold-out 2025 reunion tour after posting a cryptic social media post.
The drummer, now 52, shared a picture of his drum kit containing Union Jack flag-themed artwork from the Oasis daysâthis fuelled speculation as to whether he’ll be joining the much anticipated 2025 reunion tour.
The reunion tour was announced on Tuesday (August 27), with Liam and Noel Gallagher set to take to the stage together for the first time in 16 years. They will be playing 17 dates in the UK and Ireland next summer.
There is currently talk about which previous Oasis members could be joining Liam and Noel on the road in 2025, with co-founder Paul âBoneheadâ Arthurs reportedly on board.
However, previous reports claimed that âno other original Oasis member is expected to join the reunionâ, and that âthe members of Noel Gallagherâs High Flying Birds will step inâ. It is not yet known who will be playing the drums on the tour.
Original Oasis drummer Tony McCarroll, who White replaced, has already hinted he won’t appear in the reunion tour. He said to MailOnline: âIâm happy for Noel and Liam. Really happy for themâŠAnd Iâm dead happy for the fans more than anything and for those generations who havenât seen Oasis.â
He also revealed that the band hadnât been in touch with him about the reunion plans, saying: ââThey havenât reached out yet and to be honest Iâm not holding my breath.â
McCarroll said he holds no grudges and isnât upset about potentially missing out on the tours, which are expected to pull in an estimated ÂŁ400 million next year.
Reunion tour gigs are set to take place at Manchesterâs Heaton Park, Londonâs Wembley Stadium, Cardiffâs Principality Stadium, Dublinâs Croke Park, and Edinburghâs Murrayfield Stadium. Mid-week, extra gigs were confirmed for Manchester, London and Edinburgh in response to âunprecedented demandâ.
