Amber Rose has called out Kamala Harris, saying “she’s pandering to Black people” by having Megan Thee Stallion perform at a rally.

Harris recently became the Democratic candidate to be the next President of the United States. This comes after the current President, Joe Biden, dropped out of the race last month.

The current Vice President held a conference at the Georgia State University Convocation Center last week to continue her campaign ahead of the presidential election this November.

Last weekend (August 3), Rose went on Adin Ross’ Kick live stream, where she was asked what she thought about the Houston Hottie performing at Harris’ recent event in Atlanta.

The former model and internet personality first said she likes Megan and thought she was “a good person”, before suggesting that Harris used Thee Stallion as a prop to gain the Black vote this November.

“I think that she’s pandering to Black people,” Rose said. “I think that she thinks that that’s what Black people wanna see in order to vote for her. And I think it’s absolute bullshit. I think that people in general just wanna know the policies.”

She continued: “All that, you know, the extra stuff, it’s cool, you know a concert and stuff like that, but what about the policies?”

Rose concluded her answer by saying: “How are you gonna ‘Make America Great Again?’ No pun intended!” – referring to Harris’ presidential rival Donald Trump‘s infamous campaign slogan.

The Hot Girl coach performed a medley of her viral songs – including ‘Girls in the Hood’, ‘Mamushi’, ‘Body’ and ‘Savage’ – while wearing a cropped Democrat blue suit. Megan also delivered her own speech, which saw her tell the crowd: “Let’s get this done, hotties. Hotties for Harris!”

While on stage, the rapper and her dancers were “twerking” – which caused her to receive some backlash online. She later responded to the naysayers during her set at this year’s Lollapalooza.

“They was fake mad that I was popping it for Kamala,” Megan told the crowd. “I don’t think they heard what she said. Kamala said she wants a ceasefire. Kamala said she supports women’s rights. Kamala said she’s tired of these high ass gas prices. Hotties For Harris!”

Quavo also was present at Harris’ rally last week. At the event, he commended her commitment to tackling gun violence and establishing the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention last year.

Rose has been open about her support for Trump during his third presidential campaign in multiple interviews. Recently, the 40-year-old appeared in a music video with the Republican-supporting rapper Forigato Blow for the latter’s ‘Trump Trump Baby’ – which samples Vanilla Ice‘s seminal hit.

Other musicians have been vocal about their support for Harris. Olivia Rodrigo sided with the Vice President’s stance on reproductive rights.

Charli XCX and John Legend backed Harris on social media. The former declared that “Kamala IS brat”, while Legend called for the American public to “elect Kamala Harris as our President”.

Harris and her team embraced Charli’s statement and unveiled a new banner on X/Twitter in the style of the artwork for ‘Brat’ – the singer’s most recent studio album.

After Charli’s post was discussed by many political outlets, including CNN – whose commentators went viral for attempting to explain what ‘Brat’ means to its viewers.

Beyoncé gave Harris permission to use her song ‘Freedom’ in an election campaign video after the VP recently walked out to the powerful anthem at a staff meeting.
