Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta Release: A solider can be seen in multiplayer

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta is finally here, along with a detailed breakdown of the multiplayer at COD Next, we finally know when you will be able to jump into the highly anticipated next entry.

For the first time, players across PS5, PS4, Game Pass, Xbox, and PC will be able to play the beta at the same time thanks to Microsoft now owning Activision. However, you will still have to pre-order to get early access to this weekend’s beta. Next weekend, everyone can jump in.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta will release on PS5, PS4, Game Pass, Xbox, and PC on August 30, 2024, at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST / 7pm CEST. The beta will then run until the same time on September 4, 2024.

The beta will let you have access to a wide array of features, including the new Omnimovement which we discussed with Treyarch back at Summer Game Fest 2024. You will also get to play on a selection of the 6v6 maps, try out a decent chunk of the arsenal, killstreaks, and operators, and start customising your guns in the Gunsmith.

The COD Next presentation has a full breakdown on everything:

How to access the ‘Call of Duty Black Ops 6’ beta on Xbox Game Pass

Unlike the other platforms, to get access to the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta via Game Pass, you will need to have an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Xbox Game Pass PC, or Xbox Game Pass Console subscription. Xbox Game Pass Core will not give you access to the beta.

Thankfully, you will still get to play all of the content available in the full beta if you are gaining access through Game Pass.

The full release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 in October is a little more complicated, but you can read our breakdown of how it works here.
