‘Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’ platforms â is it coming to PlayStation?
Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will indeed be coming to PlayStation consoles. Earlier this year, a report has suggested that the next three Call Of Duty titles, including a ânew iterationâ of free-to-play battle royale Warzone, will still be coming to PlayStation. This is in light of Microsoft acquiring Activision.
Is ‘Modern Warfare 2’ next-gen only?
As expected, Modern Warfare 2 will be coming to old-men consoles in addition to the new ones. This means that PS4 and Xbox One players will be able to download the game. We’ll have to wait and see whether this will continue to be the case for the series moving forward.

Will ‘Modern Warfare 2’ release on Steam?
For the last few entries, Call Of Duty has been available exclusively on Battle.Net for PC players. This looked set to change, after Steam teased a return to its platform on Twitter:

Is ‘Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’ a remake?

Now for a tougher question, is Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 a remake? Well, no, not really. It follows 2019’s Modern Warfare, which rebooted the Infinity Ward-led series. This game serves as a sequel to that game, so while it may contain characters and plot points from the original, this will be a separate story that aligns with the new series.
Who’s developing ‘Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’
Infinity Ward is developing Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. This is the same team that has worked on the Modern Warfare series since the start, and follows 2019’s Modern Warfare. Infinity Ward confirmed that it is indeed the primary studio working on the game in the Tweet below:
A new generation of Call of Duty is coming soon.
Stay frosty.

We should clarify that while Modern Warfare 2 is indeed an Infinity Ward project, other studios are working on the game. IW is more leading the charge, so to speak.
