Chappell Roan

Chappell Roan is having one hell of a year, and the singer has now announced a series of limited-edition vinyl pressings to celebrate the first anniversary of ‘The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess’.

After releasing the album – her debut full-length LP – in 2023, Roan has soared to fame. The album is on course to hit Number One in the UK, while her Lollapalooza set at the weekend is among the best-attended in the festival’s history. Her rise can be attributed in part to her support slot on Olivia Rodrigo’s mammoth ‘Guts’ tour, as well as the runaway success of single ‘Good Luck, Babe!’

In a four-star review of “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess’, NME called it, ”A display of Roan’s bold and brazen pen, where she places searing revelations alongside some deliciously cheeky choruses.

Island Records shared the news of the limited-edition vinyl in a statement. “What a year it has been!” it said. “In honor of the upcoming one-year anniversary of the album that brought us ‘Pink Pony Club’ costumes, the ‘HOT TO GO!’ dance, and so many other unforgettable moments,” the album will be repressed from 20 September.

A peach variant is available for pre-order on Amazon now, while Target has a peaches and cream variant and Urban Outfitters a Coke bottle glitter green variant. On Roan’s website, there’s a range of different, variants, too.

In March, Roan announced a run of UK and European shows to come later this year, beginning in Berlin, Germany, on 31 August. She’ll then be playing Paris, France and Amsterdam, Netherlands, before hitting the UK and Ireland. She’s set to finish at O2 Brixton Academy in London on 24 September, before a series of American dates to round off the year.
