Katy Perry has teased a snippet of her comeback single ‘Woman’s World’.
The song will mark a brand new era for the singer and is set for release tomorrow (July 11) at 12am BST, 7pm ET and 4pm PST.
Ahead of its release, Perry has shared a clip of the video for the single, which you can view below.
In the clip, the singer channels feminist icon Rosie the Riveter, who represented women who worked in factories and shipyards during World War II. “Celebrate, we ain’t going away,” Perry sings in the snippet.
The singer previously released a teaser in the form of the single’s cover art which was shot by acclaimed British photographer Jack Bridgland. The art features her posing in a white bikini with thigh-high robotic boots on her legs.
‘Woman’s World’ will serve as the lead single for her forthcoming album. You can pre-save the singer and pre-order the CD and 7 inch vinyl pressing of the song here.
She began teasing her new era in May by changing her profile picture. The popstar hinted at her return to music by teasing “one of [her] biggest songs that has yet to come out” whilst speaking at an American Idol event.
Last December, it was reported that the pop star was gearing up to release her “most personal” material yet in 2024. It was said at the time that plans for a world tour were also underway.
Meanwhile, Kesha recently gave her verdict on the news that Perry worked with Dr Luke – who she accused of emotional abuse and sexual assault in a decade-long lawsuit – on her new music.
