Back in October, Aguilera shared new Spanish-language track âPa Mis Muchachasâ, which featured Becky G, Nicki Nicole and Nathy Peluso.
Both âSomos Nadaâ and âPa Mis Muchachasâ appeared on Aguileraâs EP, ‘La Fuerza’, which is described as âhonour[ing] her Latin rootsâ.
The starâs first Spanish-language album â the Latin Grammy-winning âMi Reflejoâ â came out in 2000.
âItâs been something Iâve wanted to do for so many years,â Aguilera told People of her current project last summer, explaining that the material would âdive deeper into my rootsâ.
âI have an amazing team behind me thatâs so supportive,â she continued. âIâve been in music for a really long time, but thereâs nothing like being around Latin musicians and artists, the energy they bring to the table, the love and the passion they just bring and exude.
Earlier this week (January 24), Aguilera shared her ârespect and admirationâ for Britney Spears after she was criticised by the singer last year.
Last year, Spears called out Aguilera for ârefusing to speakâ about her conservatorship during a red carpet interview.
On the red carpet at the Latin Grammys in November, Aguilera was asked about her thoughts on the end of the conservatorship by a journalist. When asked the question, Aguileraâs publicist interjected, saying: âNo, weâre not doing that tonight. Iâm sorry.â
In a new interview with Enrique Santos, Aguilera was asked whether she had spoken to Britney recently, to which she replied: âI mean I would love to, I would always be open to that.
âItâs a subject that I definitely want to be careful of because Iâd never want to speak out of turn about somebody that I have so much respect and admiration for.â
Adding that she âcouldnât be happierâ for Spears, Aguilera said: âEvery woman deserves to feel empowered and to own that for themselves however they see fit.â
