Will Reeve, the son of late actor Christopher Reeve, is reportedly set to appear in James Gunn‘s upcoming Superman film.

Gunn’s take on Superman is currently filming in Cleveland, Ohio, where paparazzi and journalists were on hand to share new info about the DC movie. According to Cleveland.com, Will Reeve – son of original Superman actor Christopher – has filmed a cameo for the new David Corenswet-starring superhero flick.
Will Reeve – a real life journalist and correspondent for ABC News – was scene playing the role of an on-screen TV reporter, and will reportedly be in a pivotal scene in the movie. According to Cleveland.com, Reeve received a round of applause after wrapping his scene.
News of Reeve’s cameo in the film comes shortly after filming began and fans have started reacting to Corenswet’s “disappointing” suit. The suit features the return of Superman’s red briefs, plus a new collar around the hero’s next and seems rather baggy on Corenswet.
“I love & support David Corenswet’s casting as the Superman but I am super disappointed in the suit,” wrote one X user. “This is such a massive downgrade from Henry Cavill’s Superman. What a missed opportunity. Hoping they fix this in post.”
Another wrote: “Let’s not kid ourselves. The idea is there, but the execution, not so much. This looks like something from a low-budget CW show. It’s that bad IMO. A serious downgrade.”
In January last year, Peter Safran revealed more about the plot for Superman, telling reporters: “It focuses on Superman balancing his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way. He is kindness in a world that thinks that kindness is old-fashioned.”
Gunn confirmed in December 2022 that longtime Superman actor Henry Cavill will not be involved in his vision of the DC Universe. Gunn said at the time: “In the initial stages, our story will be focusing on an earlier part of Superman’s life, so the character will not be played by Henry Cavill.”
