K-pop boyband CIX have made a comeback with their music video for ‘458’, the lead single of their new mini-album ‘OK episode 1: OK Not’.
On August 22 at 6pm KST, five-member boyband CIX returned with a visually stunning video for their latest single ‘458’ from their fifth mini-album ‘OK episode 1: OK Not’, which dropped at the same time.
The dramatic new visual depicts the group as fallen angels, each reckoning with a different element of nature, while performing to the song’s expressive choreography in other scenes.
“(Crash into you) Go run in the Ferrari / Into you falling (Keep on falling) /My heart is deeply addicted to the pain of you,” they croon in the song’s chorus.
In addition to its title track, ‘OK episode 1: OK Not’ features a three B-sides: ‘Without You’, ‘Bend the Rules’ and ‘Drown in Luv’. According to a press release, the mini-album explores the pain, desire, patience and emptiness experienced in love.
The brand-new mini-album is a continuation of their 2021 debut studio album ‘OK Prologue: Be OK’, which kicked off their ongoing ‘OK’ series. In a four-star review of the record, NME contributor Abby Webster wrote: “Boasting the group’s most cohesive sound to date, this new entry promises even bigger and brighter things on CIX’s horizon.”
CIX also recently wrapped up their ‘REBEL’ US tour, which took place across six cities from April to May 2022. The tour also marked their first-ever overseas performances since their debut in 2019.
In an interview with NME at their Los Angeles show, member Yonghee shared: “I feel very honoured and thankful to know that our songs and K-pop, in general, are dearly loved in a country far away from Korea.”
