Dj Franky Wah has offered a reward for the return of his music collection, after it was stolen in Ibiza.

In a video – which has since been deleted – Wah explained that his car was broken into while he was eating at a restaurant in northern Ibiza. Among the belongings allegedly taken were his laptop and his entire music collection, which included unreleased tracks.

“Everything’s been taken,” he said on June 12. “There’s a reward for anyone that can give me any information about who it might be and where that might be.”

Following up the next day, Wah said “I just want my life’s work back.” He also told followers that none of his belongings had been returned, but that he had “a good idea where they are”.

“Of course, I have a lot of my music backed up, but there are also lots of projects and ideas that aren’t,” he said. “Hours, weeks, months, years of work which I’ll have to work relentlessly now to recover in time for my shows this weekend.”

Wah is urging anyone with information on the whereabouts of his belongings to contact him via him on his Instagram page.

The Yorkshire DJ is in Ibiza for a three-week SHÈN residency at Ibiza’s Club Chinois. This is Wah’s second residency, and he’ll be joined by Ida Engberg, Guy J, and Patrice Bäumel and more.

Earlier this week (June 15), Wah released a new track titled ‘Stolen Glances’, which features British pop singer Låpsley.

In a post about the track, Wah thanked his followers for their support since the announcement of the alleged theft. “The outpouring of messages and willingness to help has been overwhelming and really just shows how much of a great community we’ve got,” he wrote online.

Wah will be performing at Secret Garden Party later this summer as part of a new initiative to champion grassroots artists. Set to take place in Ripton, Cambridgeshire July 25 and July 28, the festival has dropped the inclusion of big name headliners in efforts to help support the growth of emerging talent.
