EA has confirmed a number of Quality Of Life updates that will be featured in EA Sports FC 25.

Earlier this week, EA shared the reveal trailer for EA Sports FC 25 and confirmed the game would be released September 27 for PC, PlayStation and Xbox.

The studio also revealed the latest instalment in the EA Sports FC franchise would include over 19,000 real world players across 700 teams in more than 120 stadiums and over 30 leagues while women’s football will also be a part of Career Mode for the first time ever, “achieving parity with men’s football across all game modes and further contributing towards EA SPORTS FC’s commitment to grow the women’s game”.

A post-launch update will also allow players to “live out the biggest storylines from the real-world” via the Live Start Points feature.

A new Pitch Notes blog  has revealed more “community-requested” changes for EA Sports FC 25.

Starting with the Division Rivals mode, EA has confirmed that the number of checkpoints will be reduced in EA Sports FC 25 “to better ensure players are facing opponents of similar skill” while relegation has returned to higher divisions. Progress from EA Sports FC 24 will also impact a player’s starting division in FC 25. “This adjustment will help you get to a well-suited Division faster, earn higher tier rewards quicker and help ensure our new players aren’t playing against our highly skilled veterans at the start of the game,” explained the blog.

One of the most celebrated changes is a new, dedicated storage system for Untradable Duplicate Players, with the SBC storage system now able to hold 100 items while the complete removal of player contracts has also been met with excitement.

“About time, that contract shit stopped making sense years ago,” said one fan. “It took 15 years to get rid of a thing no one wanted,” wrote another with a third adding: “The hopes of early 2000’s FIFA players are finally complete [with] no contracts. The boyhood dream has come true.”

EA has also confirmed changes to manual goalkeeper movement, with players able to manually move their keeper a couple of steps outside of set pieces before a short cool-down period will come into effect.

A new store will also make use of ingame currency Club Coin with players able to buy cosmetics for their Virtual Pro. However, EA Sports FC 25 has capped the max height of all Virtual Pros at 6’5”. Further deep dives are due to be released in the weeks leading up to EA Sports FC 25‘s release

In other news, Paramount has confirmed it has cancelled the Halo TV series after two seasons.
