Eminem has earned his 11th Number One album with the release of his latest LP ‘The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)‘.

The iconic rapper released his 12th album last week and has now landed the top spot on the UK Albums Chart. He joins the likes of Taylor Swift, David Bowie, and U2, who also have 11 chart-topping albums within their current discography.

Eminem’s other chart-topping albums include 2000’s ‘The Marshall Mathers LP’, 2002’s ‘The Eminem Show’, 2004’s ‘Encore’, 2005’s ‘Curtain Call: The Hits’, 2009’s ‘Relapse‘, 2010’s ‘Recovery’, 2013’s ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2‘, 2017’s ‘Revival‘, 2018’s ‘Kamikaze‘ and 2020’s ‘Music To Be Murdered By‘.

‘The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)’ sees Eminem kill off his alter ego Slim Shady and was described as a “conceptual album” by the rapper, who told fans that the LP should be listened to in order.

In a three-star review of ‘The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)’, Jordan Bassett wrote for NME: “So, who killed Slim Shady? In bringing him back to the light and showing him up as irrelevant, perhaps Eminem’s done his old pal in for good. OK, we get it – Shady was a shocking character. Now that he’s dead, how about getting some new material?”

Elsewhere, 50 Cent praised Eminem‘s newest album, sharing “Yo [Eminem], shit is crazy. It takes me a while to understand the details of this one,” in an Instagram post.

Jelly Roll recently revealed Eminem as one of his “childhood heroes” following their collaboration which is featured on the latter’s 12th LP. The Tennessee rapper’s 2020 song ‘Save Me’ was sampled on the closing track of ‘The Death Of Slim Shady’, titled ‘Somebody Save Me’.

“I always say my childhood hero’s lived somewhere between Willie Nelson and Eminem. As a teenager (and still today) I could recite every song on the ‘Slim Shady’ album, the ‘Marshall Mathers’ album and ‘The Eminem Show’,” he wrote in a social media post.

In other news, Eminem appeared at a Gin & Juice event in London alongside Dr. Dre to perform ‘Houdini’ and ‘Forgot About Dre’.
