Prime Video’s Fallout has seen a new wave of players discovering the grim joy of Fallout: New Vegas, and with many key characters heading to Vegas in the second season, there’s never been a better time to get involved with the black sheep of the Fallout franchise. New players might want some New Vegas cheat codes to help them get ahead though.

An action role-playing game that originally launched in 2010, developers Bethesda and Obsidian have kept the open-world wasteland active with a number of massive updates over the years, with New Vegas now considered one of the best Fallout games. 14 years after it was first launched, thousands of people still regularly play.

You start Fallout: New Vegas as the victim of a botched assassination attempt but your quest for revenge quickly becomes part of a wider story about power, trust and control. With enough determination, players can scratch out an existence in the dangerous Mojave Desert, or they can cheat a little to make things easier.

It doesn’t matter if you’re new to the game and want to play catch-up, or if you’re a veteran who wants to make your next playthrough more exciting, we’ve rounded up an essential list of Fallout: New Vegas cheat and console commands. Check it out below.

What are Fallout: New Vegas cheat and console commands?

Fallout: New Vegas cheat and console commands are a series of perks that can be used at any point during the game, by entering a simple code. These range from God Mode, which gives you infinite health and power, to teleporting to a specific in-game location. However, these are only available for PC gamers.

To use the console commands, players will need to open the developer console by tapping the ‘tilde’ (~) or ‘grave’ key (`) on their keyboard, which will also pause the game. From there, players simply need to enter their desired cheat code before pressing ‘enter’ to activate it and returning to their post-apocalyptic adventure. Sometimes a text prompt will follow, confirming which command has been activated, but not always.

Some commands include text surrounded by <> brackets. For these, players need to replace the brackets and everything in between them with the required information, while any #s will need to be replaced by a number. The player-made Fallout Wiki has a complete list of quest, item, and faction IDs, which should make a lot of these console commands quicker to utilise.
