Foo Fighters Foo Fighters have announced the new rescheduled dates for their 25th-anniversary tour, which they were forced to postpone after coronavirus cases grew in the US.
The rock giants announced plans last month to celebrate the milestone by touring the same stops as their first US tour back in 1995.
Billed as ‘The Van Tour’, the shows were set to see the band  âhitting a number of the same spots that Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel and Pat Smear trail-blazed in a Dodge van all those years ago.”
Earlier this month, they confirmed that the shows would be put on ice until the ongoing coronavirus pandemic is brought to an end. A handful of shows were given new dates at the time, but now the band have confirmed the whole raft of rescheduled shows.
“For further information, please continue to check in at FooFighters.com from the safety of your homes â we want to rock with each and every one of you when we get back out there,” they wrote on a poster on Instagram.
The rescheduled dates are as follows:
October 2020
1- Hamilton, ON, FirstOntario Centre
3 – Cleveland, OH, Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse
5 – Detroit, MI, Little Caesars Arena
7 – Grand Rapids, MI, Van Andel Arena
9 – Knoxville, TN, Thompson-Boling Arena
13 – Cincinatti, OH, Heritage Bank Center
15 – Green Bay, WI, Resch Center
17 – Wichita, KS, Intrust Bank Arena
December 2020
1 – Oklahoma City, OK, Chesapeake Energy Arena
3 – Albuquerque, NM, Santa Ana Star Center
5 – Phoenix, AZ, Talking Stick Resort Arena
When the band postponed the first few dates, frontman Dave Grohl shared a message with fans explaining their decision. “Hi, this is Dave. Remember me? The guy who wouldn’t even postpone a show when my goddamn leg was falling off?,” he wrote. “Well…playing a gig with a sock full of broken bones is one thing, but playing a show when YOUR health and safety is in jeopardy is another.
“We fuckin’ love you guys. So let’s do this right and rain check shit. The album is done, and it’s fuckin’ killer. The lights and stage are in the trucks, ready to go. The SECOND we are given the go ahead, we’ll come tear shit up like we always do. Promise.”
Grohl added: “Now go wash your hands. Dave.”
This comes after Grohl recently confirmed that Foo Fightersâ new album is complete.
âWe just finished making a record,â he said. âSome of those songs, the best ones happen in 45 minutes. Then thereâs other songs â thereâs a riff on the new record Iâve been working on for 25 years. The first time I demoed it was in my basement in Seattle.â
The frontman previously teased that the follow-up to 2017âs âConcrete & Goldâ will be âfucking weirdâ.
