George Clooney has told Quentin Tarantino to “fuck off” over comments that Clooney was “not a movie star”.

The movie star took aim at the director – who he previously worked with on 1996 film From Dusk Till Dawn – in a new interview with GQ.

“Quentin said some shit about me recently, so I’m a little irritated by him,” Clooney began. “He did some interview where he was naming movie stars, and he was talking about [Brad], and somebody else, and then this guy goes, ‘Well, what about George?’

“He goes, he’s not a movie star,” he claimed. “And then he literally said something like, ‘Name me a movie since the millennium.’ And I was like, ‘Since the millennium? That’s kind of my whole fucking career.’”

Clooney – who is due to appear in Prime Video series Wolfs alongside Brad Pitt – added: “So now I’m like, all right, dude, fuck off. I don’t mind giving him shit.”

Though Clooney has expressed irritation at the comments, it appears there is no evidence of Tarantino’s insults towards the actor. So far, Tarantino has not responded to Clooney’s claims.

In the same interview, Clooney hit out at David O. Russell, calling him “a miserable fuck”. He also claimed that when shooting 1999 film Three Kings, the director was “making my life hell” and “making every person in the crew’s life hell.”

Clooney added that it was “not worth it” to make a “good film” like Three Kings with Russell at the helm: “Not at this point in my life. Just to have a good product.”

In other news, Donald Trump has told George Clooney to “go back to TV” over Biden article: “Movies never worked out”.
