Lana Del Rey has kicked off her summer 2024 European festival tour – here’s what she performed at Rock en Seine in France.
This weekend, Lana Del Rey will headline the Reading & Leeds festival – she’s due to perform at Reading on Saturday August 24 and at Leeds on Sunday August 25. But before that, she’s performed the first of her European festival tour shows at France’s Rock en Seine.
Lana Del Rey’s Reading & Leeds setlists may differ from her Rock en Seine show, but it should give fans a good read on what to expect. As for her stage design, it seems similar to her Coachella 2024 setup, which is an elaborate take on an elegant palace-like building with a large swing, two balconies, winding staircases, large screens and a pole.
To begin her Rock en Seine performance on August 21, Del Rey treated fans to ‘Body Electric’, marking the first time the song has been performed since 2018.
She would go on to perform other beloved songs like ‘Without You’, ‘West Coast’, a cover of Sublime’s ‘Doin’ Time’, ‘Summertime Sadness’, ‘Cherry’, ‘Born To Die’ and more.

The latter half of Lana’s set saw her perform ‘Chemtrails Over The Country Club’, ‘Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd’, ‘Norman Fucking Rockwell’, ‘Arcadia’, ‘Video Games’, NME‘s 2023 Song of The Year ‘A&W’ and show closer ‘Young and Beautiful’.

Earlier this year, Lana Del Rey announced a new country album, ‘Lasso’. While the album has yet to receive a release date, the singer spoke to NME‘s Andrew Trendell in May. Though she didn’t reveal much about the album, Lana suggested that the album’s lyrics might be lighter than her more recent output.
“I’ve maybe less to say in terms of any self-revealing things like on ‘Tunnel’ or ‘Blue Bannisters’ or ‘Chemtrails Over The Country Club’, and just more melodic. Maybe more American Songbook style?”
She also opened up about a potential sense of vindication around the new project. “Maybe three years ago there would have been a sense of vindication, but now it just feels playful. I don’t know why,” she explained, looking at her recent successes. “If you hang in long enough, it just feels easy. There’s no vindication, no nothing – I’m just kind of happy to be here. It’s easy-going in that way.”
During the chat, she also spoke about her “wild” plans for Reading & Leeds. When asked by NME if she plans to bring her country influences to the sets, and if she plans on riding horses to the stage, she replied: “Ooh, do you wanna know something? I actually thought about that! I fucking did!”
