Colin Farrell’s new dark detective series Sugar is streaming now on Apple TV+, but what songs are included on the soundtrack?
The eight-episode show stars Farrell as John Sugar, a private detective who is set on solving the disappearance of of a Hollywood producer’s granddaughter.
The show has been created by Mark Protosevich, who has written films including I Am Legend and Spike Lee’s Oldboy remake. City of God director Fernando Meirelles has also directed five of the episodes.
The first two episodes premiered on the streaming service on April 5, with subsequent episodes arriving each Friday. It is set to conclude with an episode titled ‘Farewell’ on May 17.
Speaking about his character to Radio Times, Farrell has said: “He obviously inhabits a world of darkness and criminality and he lives alone, he’s quite a lonely character, and all those other tropes are honoured.
“But there was this kind of lack of cynicism, and this belief in human beings that I thought was really just an interesting counterpoint to the life that he lives and what he sees and what he observes human beings doing to each other.”
