Former SISTAR member Hyolyn has announced a release date for her upcoming solo comeback project.
Today (June 22), the singer announced her forthcoming project with a new âcoming soonâ teaser posted to her social media platforms. The image, which features Hyolyn in a dress made of mirrors, reveals that the singerâs third mini-album is due out on July 18 at 6pm KST.
Further details on Hyolynâs upcoming project, such as its title and tracklist, are expected to be released in the following weeks.
BridÊ, Hyolynâs management agency, first announced plans for her to release new music earlier this month. âAs she is dubbed a âSummer Queen,â she will come back with songs so people can have another âhot summerâ this year,â the label said of the project at the time.
The label added that the forthcoming project will be âsomething more than what was seen on Queendom 2.â Hyolynâs upcoming mini-album will come six months after the release of the single âLayinâ Lowâ, featuring vocals from singer Jooyoung.
Last month, Hyolyn also released âWaka Boom (My Way)â as part of an EP for Queendom 2, which featured brand-new original tracks from all six contestants on the reality show. âWaka Boom (My Way)â was her final track for the show, and featured vocals from rising Korean rap artist Lee Young-ji.
In other news, LOONA have made their long-awaited comeback with the new mini-album âFlip Thatâ. The projectâs release was accompanied by a summer-ready visual for the title track of the same name.
