After years of singing with their family and busking in their native Detroit and adopted home of New York, Infinity Song made a breakthrough when they secured a meeting with Jay-Z (via The Book Of Clarence director Jeymes Samuel) and scored a Roc Nation record deal. “We were a lot younger and rugged and very hungry, and very practised,” Infinity Song’s Angel Boyd recalls, “and then this came along, it was opportunity meets preparation, which is the definition of luck.”
In 2023, the band released the ‘Metamorphosis’ EP, which featured their two viral original tracks ‘Hater’s Anthem’ and ‘Slow Burn’. Last month they expanded on the project with the album ‘Metamorphosis Complete’. “The new music that we have coming out is really even better than before,” Momo Boyd tells NME. “The more that we just focus on the music, and focus on the art, and focus on getting it to the people in the ways that we know how, we’re just gonna keep going up and up.”
