South Korean singer Jeon Somi has made a comeback with her EP ‘Game Plan’ and its title track ‘Fast Forward’.
On August 7 at 6pm KST, Jeon Somi unveiled her music video for her new single ‘Fast Forward’, accompanying the digital release of her EP ‘Game Plan’. The new visual sees the singer riding a motorcycle and stopping outside a club, later dancing her way through the crowd.
“How many lovers do I go through to find you / How many heartbreaks I take just to get to you / How many lovers do I go through to find you / How many, how many, how many, fast forward,” she sings before the song’s instrumental break.
‘Game Plan’ is Jeon’s first release in two years, following her debut studio album ‘XOXO’ in October 2021. That record features the viral hit single ‘Dumb Dumb’, as well as her previous singles ‘What You Waiting For’ and ‘Birthday’.
Somi’s first appearance in the music industry had been on the 2015 survival programme Sixteen, where she competed alongside 15 other JYP Entertainment trainees to form what would later become TWICE.
While the singer did not make the cut, she later participated in the first season of Produce 101 in 2016, where she finished in first place and became a member of the project girl group I.O.I.
In other K-pop news, SM Entertainment has unveiled the debut date and details for their upcoming boyband RIIZE. The seven-member act will be releasing the first single album ‘Get A Guitar’ on September 4.
