Korean-Canadian singer Jeon Somi has released a music video for her new single, ‘Ice Cream’, featuring a cameo from Park Seo-joon.

‘Ice Cream’ is Jeon Somi’s first solo release in a little under a year, following her 2023 mini-album ‘Game Plan’, which featured the single ‘Fast Forward’. Prior to that, she dropped her debut studio album ‘XOXO’ in October 2021.

The music video for the K-pop star’s new single follows her as the owner of an ice cream truck, who drives all over town to bring joy amid a sweltering summer.

Later on, the singer is approached by a man called ‘Mr. Ice Cream’, played by Gyeongseong Creature star Park Seo-joon, who helps Somi promote her new store with posters and commercials.

“If it gets any hotter / I’ll be melting like butter / Come and get if you wanna / Yeah, I’m like ice cream,” she sings on the new English single.

In other K-pop news, ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin has released a letter NewJeans member Danielle wrote to her amid the music executive’s dispute with HYBE, which owns the K-pop agency. In it, the K-pop idol described min as a “mother and warrior”, while saying that she is “always on your side”.

Meanwhile, boyband RIIZE will be broadcasting the finale of their 2024 ‘RIIZING Day’ fan-con world tour live to cinemas worldwide on September 13. According to the distributors, viewers can expect “spectacular performances [and] celebrated hits from their debut mini-album, ‘RIIZING’.”
